Theresa Souers met her husband, Don Souers during a high school English class in 1970 and it has been forward moving ever since. They married in 1974, moved to Eureka, CA where graduated from Humboldt State University with a degree in teaching physical education. During their 17 years in Eureka, Don & Theresa had two children, daughter Jaime (now a business partner) and son, Scott. Theresa became a leader in the area’s fitness industry during the 1980′s & 90′s aerobic fitness craze, training instructors and teaching classes through private clubs and the adult education programs. In 1991, she and Don were transferred through Don’s employment, United Parcel Service, to South Lake Tahoe. New to the area, she found herself once again teaching aerobic classes at a private club as well as the local community college. During this time, while pursuing an interest in photography, she was recruited to come work for a local real estate brokerage. Once making the decision to pursue such a career, there was no holding back. Theresa grabbed “horse by the reigns” and was determined to learn the industry inside and out.

During the past 15 years, Theresa and Don acquired a reputation as hard-working agents with a strong ethical background. Their production levels reached national recognition and Theresa was often asked to speak at statewide and national real estate meetings. Theresa’s professional affiliations include: president of the local real estate association, Realtor® of the Year, State MLS Rules Committee member, California Association of Realtors’® Director, Education Committee chair and Presidential Advisory Committee for the multiple listing services. In 2006, Theresa and Don joined business associates, Dana and Michelle Benedict to open the Pinnacle Real Estate Group of Lake Tahoe. Theresa continues to explore the joys photography brings her, a desire to travel and relishes time spent with her first granddaughter, Aubrey.
