A large island is great for a few reasons: It can act as makeshift seating, which is great for dinner parties or events. It also acts as extra counter space for food prep or serving food. Not to mention the extra storage inside of it.
Lots of outdoor space. Luckily, in Lake Tahoe, outdoor space is something we have a lot of. However, if you are looking at South Lake Tahoe homes for sale in the city, lot sizes aren’t always conducive to entertaining a large crowd. Especially without disrupting the neighbors. So look properties that are on larger lots or extend your search to the county. A bathroom on close to the main living spaces. Extra points if there is a powder room, but mountain living doesn’t always come with that, so having an easily accessible bathroom without having to direct people to the master or the upstairs is nice.
